The United States international did not form part of the Reds’ matchday plans for a controversial 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool. He has been making the bench on a regular basis under Nuno Espirito Santo, but saw a knock rule him out of a meeting with the Premier League leaders.

Reyna is due to return to Germany in the summer, with there no purchase option in his Forest deal, and will be desperate to see more minutes before an English adventure is cut short.
